Tasting the first wheel

Alpage Urnerboden is only sold beginning the calendar year after it was made. So this year customers will get wheels from 2018. That, of course, doesn’t mean you can’t eat the cheese from this year. So the team on Urnerboden cut the first wheel on Thursday, also offering some raclette.

In the meantime the cows have been moved down from the highest meadows on the Klausen pass to Urnerboden. The sun provided some incredible lighting for photo shooting.
