Winner’s trip, day 4: Alpsbrinz on Chüeneren

When Quality Cheese started its operation in 1998 the Rolf Beeler Alpsbrinz made by Res Gut on Alp Chüeneren was a flagship of the portfolio. It was one of only two cheeses that got 99 points in Max McCalman’s book “A Connoisseur’s Guide to the World’s Best”. Reason enough for us to visit the Sbrinz master cheesemaker.

Later we stopped at the beautiful town of Stans where master cheesemaker Sepp Barmettler invited us to a tasting of some of his outstanding creations. He has been a provider for Quality Cheese since the beginning.
